Impact of technology (as embodied by the fields of interest of IEEE) on society, including both positive and negative effects; the impact of society on the engineering profession, the history of the societal aspects of electrotechnology, and professional, social, and economic responsibility in the practice of engineering and its related technology.

Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, IEEE Transactions on
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control was the number-three journal in acoustics in 2002, according to the annual Journal Citation Report (2002 edition) published by the Institute for Scientific Information. This publication focuses on the theory, design, and application on generation, transmission, and detection of bulk and surface mechanical waves; fundamental studies in physical acoustics; design of sonic and ultrasonic devices and their applications in industry, biomedicine, and signal processing.

Vehicular Technology Magazine, IEEE
This publication covers theoretical, experimental, application and operational aspects of electrical and electronic engineering relevant to motor vehicles and associated land transportation infrastructure, including mobile radio (technologies appropriate to terrestrial mobile vehicular services), motor vehicles (components, systems and auxiliary functions), land transportation (components and systems used in both automated and non-automated facets of ground transport technology, especially as they relate to vehicular systems).

Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology was one of the most-cited journals, ranking number-six (tying with IEEE Communications Letters) in telecommunications in 2002, according to the annual Journal Citation Report (2002 edition) published by the Institute for Scientific Information. This periodical covers land, airborne, and maritime mobile services; portable or hand-carried and citizens' communications services, when used as an adjunct to a vehicular system; vehicular electrotechnology, equipment, and systems ordinarily identified with the automotive industry, excluding systems associated with public transit..

Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems, IEEE Transactions on
Includes all major aspects of the design and implementation of VLSI/ULSI and microelectronic systems. Topics of special interest include: systems specifications, design and partitioning, high performance computing and communication systems, neural networks, wafer-scale integration and multichip module systems and their applications.

Visualization and Computer Graphics, IEEE Transactions on
The IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG) is published bimonthly. Its Editorial Board strives to publish papers that present important research results and state-of-the-art seminal papers within TVCG's scope.

These include subjects related to visualization and computer graphics techniques, systems, software, hardware, and user interface issues. Specific topics include, but are not limited to: a) visualization techniques and methodologies; b) visualization systems and software; c) volume visualization; d) flow visualization; e) information visualization; f) multivariate visualization; g) modeling and surfaces; h) rendering techniques and methodologies; i) graphics systems and software; j) animation and simulation; k) user interfaces; l) virtual reality; m) visual programming and program visualization; and n) applications.

Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on
IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications was the number nine most-cited journal in telecommunications in 2003, according to the annual Journal Citation Report (2003 edition) published by the Institute for Scientific Information. The IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (TWireless) is dedicated solely to wireless communications. The papers will be both theoretical - including new techniques, concepts, and analyses, and practical - including system experiments and prototypes, and new applications.

Wireless Communications Magazine, IEEE
IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine was the number two most-cited journal (under its previous title, IEEE Personal Communications Magazine) in telecommunications, number eight cited journal (under its current title) in telecommunications and the number six cited journal (under IEEE Personal Communications Magazine) in electrical and electronics engineering in 2003, according to the annual Journal Citation Report (2003 edition) published by the Institute for Scientific Information.

This magazine deals with all technical and policy issues related to personalization, location-independent communications in all media. Papers highlight such topics as portable telephones, communicating palm top computers, protocols, messaging, communications, and personalized traffic filtering. It also covers such policy issues as spectrum allocation, industry structure, and technology evolution.
