Rachel Berrington focuses her efforts on IEEE customers located in western North America as well as those based internationally.
Prior to joining IEEE, she was Corporate Librarian for Mentor Graphics. Rachel was President of the Oregon Chapter of the SLA for 2002–2003 and is also a member of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE).
Ruth Wolfish, MLIS
IEEE Client Services Manager
Ruth Wolfish works with IEEE customers located in eastern North America and internationally.
Ruth came to IEEE from Lucent Technologies, where she was an information specialist and electronic content coordinator. Ruth is a Past President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA). In 2009, she was elected to the SLA Board of Directors as Chapter Cabinet Chair-Elect.
George Plosker, MLS
IEEE Client Services Manager
George Plosker works with IEEE customers in the southwestern United States and internationally.
A veteran of the content industry, he has held senior positions with 365 Media, infoUSA, Inc., DIALOG and at Thomson Gale, where he managed the search assistance and content support team. San Jose State University’s School of Library and Information Science recently named George one of its "40 most influential alumni who have had a profound impact in both the public and private sectors."
Jalyn Kelley, MLIS
IEEE Client Services Manager Jalyn Kelley works with IEEE customers located in the southern and central United States and internationally.
Prior to joining IEEE, Jalyn was an Assistant Branch Manager at the San Antonio Public Library, Research Analyst at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), and News Researcher at the San Antonio Express-News. Jalyn was the 2008 President of the Texas Chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA).
Kristen Fitzpatrick, MBA, MLIS
IEEE University Partnership Program (UPP) Manager
Kris develops unique programs with students, librarians, and faculty at 13 schools in the US, expanding to China and India.
Kris joined IEEE from Rutgers University, USA, where she worked as an information literacy instructor and at numerous reference desks. Kris serves on the board of Beta Phi Mu, the international library and information studies honor society and is a member of SLA and ASEE. She was recipient of the 2011 Joyce E. Farrell IEEE Staff Award.
Qing Li, MS, Information Management
IEEE Client Services and University Partnership Program Manager
Qing Li serves clients in China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Currently a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, USA, Qing earned BS and MS degrees from the School of Information Management at Peking University, P. R. China. She has presented papers at many prestigious academic conferences worldwide, such as ICIS, CSCW, and AOM, and has published in several core academic journals, including the Journal of the Library Science in China and Information Theory and Practice.
Dhanukumar Pattanashetti, B.E., MLISc

Dhanu works with customers throughout India.
Before joining IEEE, Dhanu was Deputy Customer Relations Manager in the Scientific and Scholarly Research (SSR) Division of Thomson Reuters. Previously, he was Assistant Librarian at PES Institute of Technology and Content Analyst with the Content Management Development Center of Accenture.
Michael Shapiro, MA, MLIS
IEEE Client Services and University Partnership Program Manager
In this newly created role, Michael will be responsible for providing support to IEEE's digital library customers and managing IEEE University Partnerships in Latin America.
Michael has over 20 years' experience in the publishing and library industry, including founding Libros Sin Fronteras, a Spanish book, audio, and video distributor, which he sold to Baker & Taylor in 2004. He comes to IEEE from OCLC, where he served as Partner Development Manager for WebJunction.org and consulting librarian providing reference services to customers in both English and Spanish. He also has served on the Executive Committee and the Board of REFORMA, the National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and Spanish speakers. A native of Madison, WI, Michael gained his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, USA, and has dual master's degrees in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico, USA, and Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin, USA.
