Participated on the IEEE Information Technology Strategy Committee with significant contributions related to Communities, IT Strategy, E-Mail service, Collaboration and Entity Web Hosting. Served on the BMS AdHoc Committee, 2008 and the IEEE IT Transition AdHoc Committee, 2009. Statement – IEEE is an association of electro-technology professionals. It is my professional home and I suspect it is yours as well. IEEE must focus on the individual as well as the profession. I look to IEEE to provide technical content, career development support, opportunities to interact with others, maintain our knowledge base, and to support the profession and its (and our) responsibilities to the common good. I have served in several positions in IEEE and seek your support to serve in this position of high responsibility. IEEE needs to continue to improve the member interface – providing the resources and services that the individual member needs as well as providing outlets for members to make contributions to their profession and society. We must look for ways to do this where we live as well as exploit the technologies we have invented to do this across all boundaries. I want to serve you and IEEE in the capacity of Region 3 Delegate-Elect/Director-Elect as we pursue the IEEE mission and ask for your vote and support. |
