By selecting the interests that you feel represent you professionally, you are helping the IEEE develop programs and services to better serve the advancement of the field. In addition, the IEEE uses this information to personalize services and understand the needs of membership. To indicate your business and technology interests, select the arrow box. Select "New," and follow the prompts. Business Interests are presented in a menu. Select as many as you wish, one at a time. Click "Save."
Your professional biography should give a brief description of what you have done, what you are doing, and the kinds of things you are interested in. Once complete, be sure to visit the IEEE memberNet opt-in page to share it with IEEE members.
Managing your Communication Preferences Your Communication Preferences indicate in which manner you would like IEEE to contact you. You may change your preferred contact method by choosing a selection from the drop-down menu. On this page you may also indicate if there are methods by which you would rather NOT be contacted by IEEE. Simply check the boxes as you update the page. To manage your Communications Preferences, follow the steps below.
The IEEE allows carefully selected organizations (third parties) to mail relevant information on technical services, continuing education, and conferences to IEEE members to supplement member dues. Follow the prompts in My Communications Preferences section of My Account in the IEEE Shop to indicate whether or not you wish to be included in such mailings.
The IEEE or an IEEE Society may produce a printed membership directory. All IEEE members are automatically included with name and membership grade. Follow the prompts in Communications Preferences to indicate whether you wish to include additional contact information in the directory. This may grant you a greater professional networking capacity. Your selections in this section are not related to IEEE's online membership directory, IEEE memberNet.
IEEE Annual Election Preferences (members only) All eligible voting members have access to the IEEE candidate election booklet online. Learn more. In Communication Preferences, you may elect to receive the print booklet, or to opt-out of E-mail notifications regarding IEEE elections.
You will be prompted to approve changes to Communications Preferences via the electronic signature check at the bottom of the page. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page and your changes will be reflected.
