IEEE History Center: Donating Materials | Printer Friendly |
|
Unfortunately, space limitations at the IEEE History Center force us to be extremely selective in accepting donated materials. We are interested in receiving certain types of primary documents, particularly brochures from Awards Ceremonies and IEEE Society Newsletters, selected on a case by case basis. We are also very interested in receiving review copies of books on the subject of the history of electrical or computer engineering. We will review donated newly-published books (i.e. whose publication date is two years old or less) in our subject area, in the History Center newsletter. We are unable to accept actual artifacts, or collections of old journals. However, there are museums and archives who are very interested in receiving artifacts, and the IEEE History Center does its best to bring donors and appropriate repositories together. Consult our Related Sites to find links to appropriate organizations who might be interested in receiving your materials. You may contact us at ieee-history@ieee.org to discuss donations. |
