The IEEE History Center maintains the archives of the IEEE. We also have a limited number of collections of material relating to the history of electrical engineering in general. This page provides finding aids for some of the Center's collections.

Cataloged Collections include:

  • Ellenberger Collection: Approximately 1linear foot of papers, printed material and photographs relating to William J. Ellenberger and his career as a test engineer for General Electric.
  • IEEE Merger Collection: Approximately 5 linear feet of material relating to the organization, execution, and results of the merger of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) with the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) in 1963.
