2007 IEEE CONFERENCE ON HISTORY OF ELECTRIC POWER

The IEEE History Center at Rutgers University and the IEEE History Committee are pleased to sponsor the 2007 IEEE Conference on the History of Electric Power (CHE2007).  This conference will be held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, New Jersey, USA on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3 – 5 August. Technical co-sponsors include the IEEE North Jersey Section, the IEEE Power Engineering Society, and NJIT, through the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of its Newark College of Engineering division.

Home to the Edward Weston Papers, NJIT is close to the Edison National Historic Site and convenient by public transportation to the New York area airports and to New York City. Conference papers will deal with all aspects of electric power and its applications from the 19th century to the present.  We expect that at this conference, as at our earlier conferences, we will have a congenial group of engineers, historians, museum curators, and others, dozens of fascinating papers, plenty of time for informal discussion, and an interesting excursion.
