How to Nominate

Submit recommendations via the online form.

The general qualifications for service to IEEE are the same as those in any other position of leadership: responsibility, trust, competence, experience, willingness to take on the task, ability to commit time to the position, and enthusiasm.

Prior work in IEEE is important but does not outweigh ability.  Equivalent experience outside IEEE (as in other organizations, or in connection with the candidate's professional work) is taken into account. A candidate having no experience specific to a position may be suitable if highly qualified and has the ability and willingness to learn.

Some positions have IEEE membership grade requirements. For example, members of the IEEE Awards Board must be of IEEE Senior Member grade or higher. Such qualifications are listed in the Job Descriptions. Please review these qualifications before submitting your recommendations.

A person may be nominated for more than one position.
