What is the difference between the unabridged
and abridged versions of the IEEE One Voice
Video?
The only difference between the unabridged and
abridged version is each video's length. The
unabridged video length is approximately 6 minutes
40 seconds and the abridged video length is
approximately 3 minutes.
The four themes highlighted in the video remain the same and define IEEE and its influence in the world and on technology:

Brand Identity Guidelines FAQs
|
What are the IEEE Visual Identity Guidelines?
The Visual Identity Guidelines explain how to use
visual elements to create and strengthen the
perception of the IEEE brand. The guidelines define
the look-and-feel of the IEEE, and explain in more
detail the proper use of the IEEE Master Brand in a
variety of print and Web-based applications. The
visual elements include color palettes, typography,
imagery, and the design system (the wedge). The
visual elements were streamlined into best practices
to convey the organization’s culture,
personality, and core brand values.
Why should I use the IEEE Visual Identity
Guidelines?
Anyone who represents IEEE is encouraged to use
these guidelines when creating IEEE communications
to achieve a high level of visual consistency and
to ensure the integrity of the IEEE brand on all
branded materials. They outline both existing IEEE
best practices and opportunities for increased
alignment and brand leverage.

Identity Guidelines and the IEEE 125th
Anniversary Mark Guidelines?

IEEE Master Brand and Logos FAQs

Why is it important to maintain the integrity of
the IEEE Master Brand?
Careful and comprehensive use of the IEEE Master
Brand will:
Where can I download the IEEE Master Brand and
the IEEE 125th Anniversary Mark?
You can download the IEEE Master Brand and the 125th
Anniversary Mark at http://www.ieee.org/masterbrand
What is the difference between the different
file formats?
Can I use the IEEE diamond shaped logo as a
visual element?
No, this use is acceptable only on membership
pins.
Can I use another color for the IEEE Master
Brand besides IEEE blue, black, or white?
Color plays an important role in representing the
IEEE Brand. Using IEEE Blue (PMS 3015), or process
color equivalent on all corporate-wide
communications is strongly encouraged. The black or
white options are also acceptable. For all
sub-brand applications, the black or white options
are preferred.
Why was the IEEE Blue changed from Reflex Blue
to the new IEEE Blue (PMS 3015)?
The original “Reflex blue” is among
the most common (and consequently indistinctive)
of corporate blues. The goal was to develop
something more muted but still identifiable. The
new IEEE blue, along with the bright colors of the
new color palette, give the sense of
forward-movement, energy and innovation. This
palette also allows for flexibility in brand
communications where sub-brand, cultural, or product
distinction is warranted.

IEEE 125th Anniversary Mark FAQs
|
What is the IEEE 125th Anniversary Mark and why
should I use it?
IEEE is celebrating its 125th Anniversary in 2009.
To recognize this achievement, IEEE has designed a
125th Anniversary Mark that should be used on all
printed and electronic materials created for 2009.
Where can I download the IEEE 125th Anniversary
Mark?
You can download the 125th Anniversary Mark at http://www.ieee.org/masterbrand.
What materials should incorporate the IEEE 125th
Anniversary Mark?
The IEEE 125th Anniversary mark should appear on all
corporate-wide and sub branded materials planned for
2009 distribution.
How long should I use the IEEE 125th Mark?
The IEEE 125th Anniversary Mark should be used in
place of the IEEE Master Brand starting 1 Jan 2009
through 31 Dec 2009. Materials that will be used
past 2009 can still use the standard IEEE Master
Brand.

Tools and Resources FAQs
|
Who is allowed to use these materials?
All representatives who create materials on behalf
of IEEE are allowed to use the materials in the
Tools & Resources section of the IEEE Brand
Identity Toolkit.
Which PowerPoint Presentation template should I
use?
You can use the 125th Anniversary Presentation
Template: from 1 Jan 2009 through 31 Dec 2009. You
can use the IEEE Master Brand Presentation Template:
from 1 Jan 2010 on.
The Promotional Event/Flyer Word templates in
the Tools and Resources section don't fit my
needs. How do I suggest additional materials to
be added to the online toolkit?
If you have suggestions for new templates, you may
send an e-mail to
corporate-communications@ieee.org, or call +1 732
562 6820. You may also submit feedback by using
