13.6 Equal Opportunity for IEEE Service The IEEE is committed to equality of opportunity for all, and to a belief that its technical and professional interests are best served when a broad spectrum of backgrounds and talent is brought to bear upon its activities. It also recognizes the existence of change in the composition of the future electrical engineering population due to the increasing numbers of women and ethnic minorities entering the field. The IEEE accordingly makes every effort to include on its Boards and Committees, and on the Committees that select such individuals, women and minority members of the IEEE and resource persons where applicable.
