Section 5 - Intersociety Activities

 

5.3   Proposals for Intersociety Activity

Proposal Submission. Proposals for IEEE intersociety activities shall be submitted by any member(s), or organizational unit to the IEEE Board of Directors.

Delegation of Authority.  The Board of Directors may delegate authority for review and approval of proposals to the Executive Committee, or the appropriate Major Boards (e.g., MGAB, TAB, IEEE-USA). New proposals shall be brought to the Board of Directors only if the proposal has no overriding precedents and/or new policy decisions are required. The IEEE organizational unit authorized to review and approve the proposal shall be responsible for monitoring and appropriate action on all aspects of the joint activity.
