Event Cancellation Insurance
Event cancellation insurance provides comprehensive coverage for any of the additional expenses or lost revenue if caused by unforeseen circumstances beyond your control.

What kind of circumstances can affect your event revenues?

Cancellation - Because of unforeseen circumstances, you may not be able to open your event at all during the time you planned. You would be forced to change your dates completely, perhaps even move to a different location.

Postponement - If you couldn't start on the day you originally planned because circumstances prevent it, your losses would be covered.

Curtailment or Abandonment - Some emergency may cause you to close your event unexpectedly. Your lost revenues would be covered.

Removal to alternate premises - You might have to move to a different site before you can open, or, you may be forced to move while your event is already in progress. Insurance would pay for the losses you incur plus the additional expenses of moving to another location.

Failure to vacate - Unexpected circumstances could force you to stay longer than the terms of your lease, making it impossible to vacate the premises. Your additional expenses would be covered.

Non-appearance of main attractions - When you depend on a speaker or entertainer to contribute to the success of your event and they are unable to appear, it may cause additional expenses or lost revenue. Event cancellation insurance can cover this.

As well as...fire, collapse or destruction of the hotel or convention center, strikes involving labor, transportation and services, … adverse weather such as blizzards, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes…earthquakes, epidemics and power loss.

You are covered from the time the premium is accepted until your event is over.  For example, let’s say you purchase this protection in April and your event is planned for November.  If in July, a hurricane hits destroying the event’s venue, coverage would apply avoiding a potential significant financial loss.
