Educational Activities Section Outreach Committee (SEOC)

The Educational Activities Board (EAB) Section Outreach Committee (SEOC) reports to, and is a Standing Committee, of the EAB.

MISSION
To identify and facilitate the educational needs of the public, the profession and IEEE members.

SCOPE
The SEOC will have the lead responsibility within EAB of building and maintaining strong working relationships with IEEE Regions, Sections and Chapters in order to work with these entities as partners.

FUNCTIONS
The SEOC will work with the Society Outreach Committee (SOOC), Continuing Professional Education Committee (CPEC) and Accreditation Policy Committee (APC) of the EAB to:

1. Serve as a focal point for identifying opportunities and facilitating the implementation of various activities and programs of the EAB in IEEE     Regions/Sections/Chapters; and

2. Provide updates on educational products and services, such as newsletter articles, virtual communities and related interactions, to inform Regions/Sections/Chapters about educational opportunities and to meet their educational needs.
