Be a Course Peer Reviewer

IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) enlists peer reviewers to complete quality reviews of the continuing educational materials delivered through the IEEE Expert Now Online Continuing Education Courses Program. A crucial part of the IEEE´s mission is to provide highly relevant technical information, and this is supported within the IEEE Expert Now Online Continuing Education Courses Program via its thorough peer review process. The course peer review process is overseen by the IEEE Expert Now Editorial Board whose members also complete a review of the course materials prior to course release.

A commitment of approximately three hours is requested of the peer reviewer to participate in the quality review of an hour long online course. Quality reviews of the course materials take place at the following steps within the production process:

• initial review of materials (slides, glossary, references) prior to course production;
• final review of materials once course is produced.

An easy to use online review tool is provided to all reviewers, to facilitate the ease at which these reviews can be completed. This tool captures all reviewers’ comments about a course in one central place to provide the author with a cohesive report on all necessary edits.

In return for your time to review the course materials, your contribution as a peer reviewer will be acknowledged within the completed course (unless you prefer to remain anonymous).
