IEEE CTAA Communications Subcommittee Policies and Procedures

I. Introduction

This document describes the functions of, and processes used by the CTAA Communications Subcommittee.

II. Subcommittee Members:

  1. The Subcommittee is comprised of all IEEE-TAC representatives and other members as assigned by the CTAA Chair. The Subcommittee Chair is appointed annually by the CTAA Chair.

  2. The Subcommittee Chair serves as the ABET TAC Representative to the IEEE EAB Accreditation Policy Council (APC). 

III. Subcommittee Purposes and Responsibilities

This Subcommittee exists to ensure effective communications between the IEEE EAB Accreditation Policy Council, CTAA and the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of ABET. It is assigned three primary responsibilities:

  1. Provide formal communication between the IEEE EAB APC, CTAA and the TAC of ABET, maintaining constant dialog on strategic topics such as accreditation criteria, programmatic information, and other subjects of mutual concern in the business of accreditation.

  2. Encourage and assist CTAA members to publish articles in appropriate periodicals, journals and electronic media regarding technology accreditation issues and CTAA activities.

  3. Develop and maintain an Internet web page for CTAA communications.

All operational processes and communications between the CTAA and TAC of ABET staff remain the responsibility of the EAB staff.

IV. Schedules
