Tony Jeffree, Chair IEEE 802.1
|
Tony Jeffree is in his fifth term of office as the Chairman of the IEEE 802.1 Working Group and is the recipient of an IEEE Standards Medallion in recognition of his role in the development of network management standards in IEEE 802 and ISO. In 1984, Mr. Jeffree became actively involved in the work of the IEEE Network Management Task Group in IEEE 802.1, and in November 1985 he was appointed Chairman of the task group. The work of the task group resulted in the publication of IEEE Standards 802.1E, 802.1B, 802.1F, and 802.1k. He is currently Editor for P802.1Qav and P802.1AB, standards projects within the Audio-Video Bridging task group. |
Bruce Kraemer, Chair IEEE 802.11

Bruce Kraemer has been Chair of the IEEE 802.11 Working Group since 2008. He has 30 years of experience in high tech research, development, and strategic marketing with companies including Foxboro, Harris, Intersil, and Conexant. He is currently with Marvell Semiconductor in Strategic Marketing. Mr. Kramer has 13 years of standards development experience in ETSI, IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15, serving as Chair of numerous activities. He has been Chair of the 802.11n Task Group for six years, which in September 2009 completed its standards development work for a new high throughput MAC and PHY.

Dr. Wendong Hu is with the Advanced System Technology research labs of STMicroelectroncs Inc., in California, as an Innovative System Architect. In 2005 he joined the IEEE 802.22, IEEE 802.11, and IEEE 802.16 working groups, and served as a technical editor for 802.22 from 2007 to 2009. Currently, he is the Chair of 802.22 WRAN (Cognitive Wireless Region Area Networks) working group. |


Bob Heile is a 30 year veteran in
data communications and wireless data and is widely
known for his many articles and presentations
on the topic. He is the Chairman and founding
member of the ZigBee Alliance, Chair and founding
member of the IEEE 802.15 Working Group on
Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs),
Co-Chair of the P2030 Smart Grid Communications Task
Force, and is a founding member of IEEE
802.11. Before the ZigBee Alliance, Mr. Heile was
involved in Wireless Communications Consulting
for several high profile companies and
Wireless Opportunity Business Development for GTE
commercializing Wireless PAN technologies and public
IEEE 802.11 data services.
Phillip Barber is Chief Scientist,
Wireless Advanced Research & Standards, Huawei
Technologies Co. Ltd., and has over 20 years
experience in the area of mobile packet routed
wireless technology and strategy. Co-founder and
CEO of Broadband Mobile Technologies, Inc., he has
experience in telecommunications and business
consulting work in the US, Europe, Asia and the
Middle East. Among other offices, Mr.
Barber is currently Chair for the Network
Management Task Group in IEEE 802.16, Vice-Chair
for 802.16 Advanced Air Interface Task Group M,
and a current member of the IEEE Standards Review
Committee and the IEEE Standards Association
Standards Board.
