One of the many missions of the IEEE EAB University Programs section is to address issues related to faculty curriculum and development.

The IEEE Real World Engineering Project (RWEP) Program aims to develop excellence in learning and teaching through curriculum development; by seeking projects in IEEE fields of interest for use by faculty worldwide.   The goal of the RWEP program is to provide university educators in electrical engineering (EE), computer engineering (CE), computer science (CS), electrical engineering technology (EET) and biomedical engineering (BE) world-wide with:

A library of high-quality, tested, hands-on team-based society-focused projects for first-year students. These projects are designed to increase the recruitment, persistence to degree, and satisfaction of all students, and particularly women, in baccalaureate EE, CE, CS, BE and EET degree programs.

For information on future submissions or to browse our library of projects available for downloading please go to Real World Engineering or contact staff at realworldengineering@ieee.org
