IEEE offers the option of two services to electronically communicate with your members: 1. e-Notice: this service allows you to communicate with your membership without the headache of updating a mailing list and keeping track of “bounces” and “unsubscribe” requests. IEEE Operations Center Staff maintains the lists internally, distributes your notice, and tracks bounces and unsubscribe requests. It is recommended that e-Notice distributions be limited to once per month, so as not to be perceived as spam by the membership. For more information, go to www.ieee.org/enotice . Please note that e-Notice does not provide for including anyone on the list that is not a member of your Section. Any other individuals (such as local businesses, or courtesy contacts) would have to be maintained separately by local volunteers. 2. The use of an electronic mailing list.
