1. The IEEE Masterbrand: To be recognized by people everywhere, an organization's identity brand must be used consistently in all forms of communications.  Be sure your website had the correct logo by downloading it from the IEEE site at www.ieee.org/masterbrand.

2. Section Officers and Contact Information: A key factor in the success of any organization is communication.  Contact information for Section Officers is essential to keep the lines of communication open, and to keep information flowing between members. (Be sure to obtain permission from your officers to have their email address or any other contact information published) See Example: http:www.ewh.ieee.org/r1/mid-hudson/execc.htm

3. Calendar of Events (to be kept current): A comprehensive listing of meetings, speaker information, social events, Section Election information, etc. can generate interest in Section activities, promote involvement among members and catch the interest of non-members.

4. List of Subunits with Contact Information: Every Section's website should include a list of applicable subunits (Subsections, Chapters, Affinity Groups, and/or Student Branches) and email addresses for the officers.  (Be sure to obtain permission from your officers to have their email address or any other contact information published)

5. Section Newsletter (pdf or html format): Posting your Section's newsletter on your website (including back-issues) makes it easy for members to keep current with Section events.

6. Links to Pages for Awards, Educational Activities, Professional Activities: Include links to the IEEE sites to keep your Section members interested and informed about innovations in the technical field, educational resources available for members, career resources, conference and Society information.

7. Pages for Section Election Information and Procedures: (dates, call for nominations, voting, election results, etc.)

8. ExCom Meeting Minutes

9. Page for "Membership Development" or "Benefits of IEEE Membership" (or link to the IEEE site http://www.ieee.org/membership/reason1.html)  and link to IEEE Membership application

10. FAQ's": How do I form a Chapter of my Society?   How can I be elevated to Senior Member Grade?  How do I get information into our Section's Newsletter?  How do I subscribe to the Section's email list? Etc.

...and few more suggestions

You can add links to the IEEE home page, IEEE Travel Services, IEEE Financial Advantage Program, IEEE Job Site, your Region's Home Page, local key industries and universities.

If available, you can add a history of your Section, including the year of formation, significant events which occurred, and membership statistics.  These may provide insight for current member s and an inspiration for prospective members to join and be involved with the IEEE.
