Email services

Email Alias: As an IEEE member, you are eligible to obtain an IEEE email alias - your own IEEE email address that automatically forwards email to your actual account (for example: you@ieee.org would forward to the email address of your choice). IEEE members can register or update a personal alias of their choice, subject to availability and on a "first come, first serve" basis. The IEEE e-mail alias service also includes free virus scanning of attachments sent to your IEEE email alias.

Functional Alias: Sections and Chapters are also eligible to obtain "functional aliases." A functional alias is an email alias that represents an entity, conference, or other IEEE activity (for example your.section@ieee.org), but forwards to the email address of an individual. The address to which the functional alias forwards can be changed as needed. Back to top of page.

Mailing Lists : As an IEEE volunteer, you can use the IEEE list service that allows you to send an email to a group of individuals listed under a single email address of your choice. For help with list maintenance for newsletters and Section communication, see "Automated Electronic Newsletters," above.

Entity Web Hosting

The IEEE Entity Web Hosting service is intended to meet the needs of IEEE Sections who want to develop, create and maintain their own web site on an IEEE host. Chapters can be accommodated via the Section’s site. Back to top of page.
