Pins, Banners, Certificates & Supplies The IEEE believes in acknowledging the achievements of members and others who have made outstanding contributions to the art and science of electro-and information technologies world-wide. The IEEE recognizes such accomplishments through Institute level awards. Information on the IEEE Institute level awards can be found on the IEEE Awards web page, www.ieee.org/about/awards. In addition, every IEEE board has an Awards and Recognition program to honor members who have exhibited technical excellence, whose volunteer activities have had a major impact on the IEEE or its members, and corporations or non-member individuals who have performed a noteworthy service to the IEEE and/or the EE profession. You can
also institute your own local program - awarding

The IEEE established the Electrical Engineering
Milestones program in 1983 to honor
significant achievements in the history of
electrical, electronics and computer
engineering. Through this program, the IEEE
hopes to foster an awareness among EEs of their
professional history; increase public
understanding of the development and implications of
electrical engineering; encourage preservation of
the physical remains of these achievements
through site dedications; document them by
collecting historical and current information
for inclusion in guidebooks and maps for the
general public. The program publicly honors a
historic achievement by placing a bronze
plaque at the site of the engineering
feat. For further details, check the IEEE
History Center web pages.
Milestones Administrator Pins, Banners, Plaques, Certificates, and Supplies Recognition for a job well done is a strong motivator! Reward those who have worked for or supported Section activities - be they members, non-members, or corporations - with tangible evidence of the Section's appreciation of their efforts. Geographic Unit Operations, for a modest charge, supply you with handsome personalized certificates or IEEE plaques with a brass plate which can be engraved locally for a personalized touch. Also available are volunteer officer pins. Restrictions apply to distribution of officer jewelry.
Your Section, Chapter or special event deserves to
be recognized, too. You can purchase 3 x 5'
blue nylon banners with white IEEE logo and
lettering spelling out the Institute's full name and
initials. The majority of the space on the
banner is reserved for personalizing, which
you may have done locally or we can order for you.
