IEEE Staff advises the Section,
the Region Director, the Society
President (when applicable) and the Member
and Geographic Activities Board that
the units have failed to meet the
minimum requirements. Where appropriate, a
Section may be placed on probation.
The responsible volunteer
leadership investigates and tries to bring
the unit into compliance with the
minimum requirements.
When rejuvenation fails, the
Region Director recommends
dissolution of the Unit and, in the case of
Sections, the reassignment of members,
territory and assets to an active,
adjacent unit.
The Member and
Geographic Activities Board reviews the
recommendation and, if appropriate,
approves dissolution and reassignment of
members, territory and assets.
