IEEE Technical Chapters

The purpose of Chapter activities is to assemble individuals with similar technical interests together for informative technical meetings and for networking. Upon joining a professional IEEE Society, a member automatically becomes a member of the Chapter (provided one exists). As of January 2004, there were 1,384 chapters in existence.

Typically Chapter meetings are of a technical nature; however, Chapters hosts additional events such as workshops and educational seminars.
