education or experience give evidence of

designated field of interest. The
designated fields are, in broad
terms: Engineering, Computer Science and
Information Technology,
Physical Sciences, Biological and
Medical Sciences, Mathematics,
Technical Communications, Education,
Management, Law, and Policy.

Student Member
At the login screen
select Create an IEEE
Account. By continuing you
acknowledge that you carry at
least 50% of a full time academic
program/course of study in an
IEEE Designated field of interest.
(undergraduate or graduate).
Students are required to join IEEE online.

an IEEE Society
Customize and add
value to your IEEE Membership by joining
one or more of the 38 IEEE
Societies. With your society
membership, you can
stay on top of your chosen
technology, keep in touch

IEEE dues and
fees are listed on the cost chart.
The half-year dues rate will be
reflected in the online shopping cart,
and are priced at 50% of the
full-year dues rates.
Joining online is convenient

Express. Your IEEE member
number will be displayed in your order
confirmation receipt. If you do not
have a credit card, please complete the
online application -- but
choose the Print and Mail/ Fax with
payment option on the
