IEEE Press Overview of the Publishing Process #1: Intro and Proposal Process | Printer Friendly |
The publishing process is divided into three steps:
|
1. THE PROPOSAL PROCESS (see below) Submission of a proposal and waiting for the publisher to decide whether they will offer a contract. 2. WRITING AND DEVELOPMENT The writing and developmental reviewing process. 3. PRODUCTION AND PRINTING Explains what happens to the manuscript after it is submitted to John Wiley & Sons. Click on the topics for more information. As always, please contact your IEEE Press editor if you have any questions or concerns. |
PROPOSAL PROCESS
|
The
purpose of the proposal process is for IEEE Press to
decide whether a book fits its publishing
needs, interest and abilities. The proposal
provides a snapshot of your book: it
explains what the book will contain and how it
will be organized, why it is needed, who
will want to buy it and why, the length and size
of the book, as well as how long you
expect the writing to take.
