The most direct means of getting to TAB content is to go to http://www.ieee.org/go/tab. While from most pages on www.ieee.org, you can navigate to Technical Activities in 2 mouse clicks:

1. Near the top of the page, click the "Volunteers" navigation tab.
2. Once on the "Volunteers" page, under "Boards and Organizations" in the menu on the left of the page, click "Technical Activities / Societies"

The Technical Activities menu is found on the left side of most Technical Activities pages and is intended to be a consistent point of navigation throughout Technical Activities web content.  The menu is organized by top-level topics, many of which can be expanded by clicking the down arrow to the right of menu items.  Doing so will reveal additional links to related content.  With the exception of the Technical Activities Board (TAB) section which is found first in the menu, the primary menu items are organized alphabetically.

If this is your first time visiting our web pages or this is your first visit since our content reorganization, please take a couple of minutes to familiarize yourself with the menu.

Information regarding key sections of the menu can be found below.

Finding Board and Committee Information

Most Technical Activities Board (TAB) and TAB committee information can be found in four sections of the Technical Activities menu:

1. Technical Activities Board - contains links to board information including meeting documents, roster, calendar, mission, vision and reporting structure.
2. Agendas & Minutes - contains links to board and TAB committee agendas and minutes.
3. Committees - contains links to information on all TAB committees.
4. Governing Documents and Policies - links to various IEEE operational documents.

Finding a Form or Template

Conflict of interest forms, expense forms, contract templates, the IEEE presentation template and other similar documents can be found at the bottom of the Technical Activities menu in the section "Templates and Forms."

Finding Operational and Governing Documents and Policies

While links to many operational documents may be found throughout our content for convenience, the primary navigation to this important content can be found in the section "Governing Documents and Policies" of the Technical Activities menu.

Finding Finance Information

IEEE, Technical Activities Board (TAB) and Society / Council finance information can be found in the four sections of the Technical Activities menu:

1. Finance Operations Manual - the primary resource for Technical Activities finance operations.
2. Financial Reports - links to various IEEE financial reports.
3. Governing Documents and Policies - links to various IEEE operational documents.
4. Societies / Councils - links to Society / Council information, including Financial Statements.

Finding Strategic Planning Information

The primary navigation to strategic planning activities can be found in the section "Strategic Planning" of the Technical Activities menu.

Finding Membership Stats and Membership Development Resources

The primary navigation to membership statistics, resources and studies can be found in the section "Membership Development" of the Technical Activities menu.

Finding Periodicals Development Resources

The primary navigation to periodicals development can be found in the section "Periodicals Development" of the Technical Activities menu.

Finding Contact Information

Contact information for volunteers and staff are available from a number of sources.  To access these sources, use the "Contact Staff & Volunteers" section of the Technical Activities menu.  There you will find:

1. Organizational Rosters (Staff/Volunteers) - links to the IEEE Organization Rosters.
2. Search by Name - links to a tool allowing you to search the IEEE Organization Roster by name.
3. Technical Activities (TAB) Roster - links to IEEE Organization Roster - Part II which includes the Technical Activities Roster.
4. Technical Activities Staff (TAD) - links to Technical Activities Department staff contact information.

The TAB and TAB committee support pages now use a standardized layout. In the same relative location on each page, you now will find the following:

1. Introduction pointing to more detailed background information about the board and committees. [#1 in the figure below]
2. Statement about secure access. [#2 in the figure below]
3. "Business" section containing information about, or to assist in conducting, current activities. [#3 in the figure below]
4. Meeting Documents section containing agendas, minutes, briefs, highlight reports and similar materials. Includes a Note section with footnotes about secure access rules and proper use of distributed information. [#4 in the figure below]
5. An About section that lists the chair and includes links to charters, rosters and contact information. [#5 in the figure below]
6. Upcoming Meetings section that lists upcoming relevant meetings, and includes links to relevant calendars and meeting services. [#6 in the figure below]
