Looking toward the future,
IEEE plans to build on nearly 125 years
of leadership in the advancement of
technology by seeking new ways
to meet the challenges that confront
humankind. At the same time,
the organization will strive to meet the
ever-changing needs of its
members and enable technical
professionals to distinguish
themselves in a globally competitive
environment.
To do this, the IEEE will
continue to make its technological
information available in developing
nations and those with
expanding technological workforce needs.
The organization will
continue studying changes in the global
workplace including the
spread of invention, changes in work
patterns, and the nature of
collaboration in the anywhere, anytime,
"always-on" world.
The IEEE has also unveiled
new initiatives to reach communities in
every part of the globe and to meet
local needs in education,
accreditation, professional development,
information, and technology
development and policy
