 1. How do I request a meeting for which IEEE Web Conferencing setup, management, and support?

 2. What's E-Z Conferencing?
 Submit an E-Z Conferencing request to have IEEE Web Conferencing do all of your conferencing setup in  advance. You will be provided with necessary access information, system requirements and other instructions  for distribution to your meeting hosts and participants. Limited IEEE Web Conferencing support available.

 

 3. What's One-Way Broadcasting?
One-Way Broadcasting is a Voice Over the Internet [VoIP} option that allows presenters to deliver a talk an audience who views the presenation online while listening to the presentation over their computer speakers. In most cases, participants also submit questions and comments online. Presenters are encouraged to rely on a broadband, wired connection. Ask your Web Conference Specialist or online meeting administrator about specific system requirements.
    

 4. What's Two-Way audio?
Two-Way audio is a Voice Over the Internet [VoIP] option that allows multiple participants in an online meeting to communicate with each other using computer microphones and speakers. Presenters should rely

 

 5. What's an online conference center?
An online conference center otherwise referred to as an online meeting room is the virtual location. Were meeting participants convene. A Web Conferencing Specialist or an online meeting administrator provides access information - in most cases consisting of a URL and Login.

An IEEE Web Conferencing Specialist will work with you to identify the tools that best meets your needs.

 

 6. What equipment do i need to conduct a web conference?
Specific system requirements can depend on the type of activity that will take place during your meeting(s) (e.g, displaying PowerPoint, displaying your desktop, displaying video, phone audio, computer audio, etc.). Your IEEE Web Conferencing Specialist will provide detailed system requirements

 

  7. Can I Use IEEE Web Conferencing services for personal or professional reasons unrelated to IEEE?
IEEE Web Conferencing products and services are available to volunteers, staff for the exclusive purpose of conducting IEEE-related business.

 

 8. Do I need an IEEE web account to request or access a web conference?
An IEEE web account is typically NOT required. Certain exceptions may occur depending on the requirements and preferences of the individual or group requesting a conference.

It is not necessary to have your own teleconferencing provider. In most cases
