URL Redirect Registration

IEEE Web Services can create a "shortened" URL to your IEEE site. This service is available to IEEE staff, members and volunteers maintaining web content for Regions, Sections, Councils, Societies, Chapters and Student Branches.

This service is only available for creating redirects within the "www.ieee.org/go" domain.

Some reasons for needing a URL Alias or Redirect are:

You are an IEEE Web Entity, such as a society, chapter, or region, and would like an IEEE URL (www.ieee.org/go/) which points to a site housed on another server (Entity Web Hosting or your own host).
You are sending a promotional mailing and want a specific URL such as http://www.ieee.org/go/joinus/.
You have a long URL which you would like to appear shortened in print promotions. Such as: http://www.ieee.org/membership/renewal/online/ could be redirected to http://www.ieee.org/go/renew/

Please do not use this registration for files renamed or moved within your directory. You are responsible for ensuring your file names correspond to your published URL. If you have moved file, please place a notice on the page notifying visitors that the page has moved and to re-bookmark.
