Sponsorship relates to the responsibilities and accountabilities of an IEEE Organizational Unit (OU) with respect to financial, technical, publicity, and administrative aspects of a conference. IEEE OU's can provide sponsorship to conferences that includes either financial involvement or non-financial involvement. Any IEEE OU may sponsor a conference. First, you must identify and contact an IEEE Organization Unit (OU) that most fits your area of interest.
You can find potential sponsors under the Societies home page and the Geographic Activities pages:
Please see (IEEE Policy 10.1.2) for more detailed sponsorship information. Sponsorship should be negotiated with the OU and agreed upon through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).
An MOU/MOA is required when two or more organizational units (OU) agree to provide co-sponsorship or technical co-sponsorship to a conference. These OUs may be all IEEE organizational units or IEEE and non-IEEE organizations.
Submit the IEEE Conference Information Schedule to register your conference with IEEE and obtain a conference number. This step is required to initiate the setup of all IEEE conferences. For step-by-step detailed information on organizing a conference and other related topics, please visit the conference organizers section.
