IEEE Conference Publication Form
The IEEE Conference Publication Form is how you request approval to submit your conference papers to the CPP and the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library. To allow enough time for the full approval process, this form must be submitted at least twelve months before the conference.
Upon review and approval, IEEE will send you your Letter of Acquisition (LoA) after receiving your Conference Publication Form. The Letter of Acquisition is an agreement between your conference and IEEE to consider your conference for acceptance into the CPP and IEEE Xplore®.
Letter of Acquisition
The Letter of Acquisition (LoA) contains an agreement between your conference and IEEE that confirms a conference’s intention to publish with the IEEE Conference Publication Program (CPP) and in IEEE Xplore®.
You must approve the LoA for your content to be processed for posting to IEEE Xplore®. It is important that you follow all the guidelines in your LoA, or there may be a delay in posting your technical papers to IEEE Xplore®.
The LoA includes the following:
- Conference publication title should be used on all Conference Publication materials exactly as it appears in the LoA
- Catalog numbers for the conference publication, with instructions on placement
- Copyright Information
- Conference Paper templates to provide to your authors, using either MS Word or LaTeX download download the template (DOC, 30.2 KB)
- List of conference publication materials to be provided to IEEE, including both IEEE Xplore®-compliant version and the version(s) distributed at the conference
Please note that the LoA does not guarantee that your conference technical papers will be published in IEEE Xplore®. IEEE can withhold the publishing of conference proceedings that do not meet the IEEE quality standards
New Marking Process for IEEE Xplore® Conference Papers
To support indexing and discoverability, the left-hand margin of the first page of all IEEE Conference papers now includes the following information:
- Conference Name
- Conference Year
- DOI (Digital Object Identifier)
- IEEE Copyright Clearance Code
Organizers should submit their papers without markings to IEEE. The Publishing Operations team will add the metadata to the papers before posting them to IEEE Xplore®.
