The Major Education Innovation Award recognizes IEEE members who have distinguished themselves for outstanding educational innovation in a field of interest of IEEE.


Nominee eligibility

The award is given to IEEE Graduate Student members, members, Senior members, and Fellows whose innovation has made a major impact and been emulated outside the individual’s immediate environment.

Nominator requirements

Non-members of IEEE are eligible to serve as a nominator of this award.

The award consists of a plaque and US$1,000. Travel expenses up to US$2,000 to attend the EAB Awards Ceremony are also covered.

Reference requirements

The nominator is responsible for providing a minimum of three, and a maximum of five, people to serve as references. At least two references must be IEEE members.
