IEEE Smart Tech Metro Area Workshops provide participants with a unique learning experience with topics on the cutting edge of technical innovation today.

These one- or two-day seminars are focused on providing an opportunity for participants to learn first-hand from the field experts. Each workshop is a springboard to a deeper understanding of technology and its myriad applications and potential for innovation.

The Metro Area Workshop series is designed for practicing engineers and technical professionals who are innovators, have a desire to learn more, are in a career transition, or are considering a career change. Each day begins with a general session and continental breakfast, then moves through an introduction and course instruction, including networking breaks and lunch. Two-day events include a keynote address with an evening reception, including light food and a cash bar.

Course content is provided by IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Power & Energy Society, IEEE Computer Society, local IEEE Sections, and IEEE-USA.
