  • Foundation

Please note: The IEEE Investment Fund is not intended for use by individuals.

Asset Allocation

The Fund seeks to establish a balance between U.S. and Non-U.S. equities, as well as fixed income instruments that will provide long-term growth of capital, with increased emphasis on generating current income. The current asset allocation targets are:

  • 42% U.S. Equity
  • 28% U.S. Fixed Income
  • 16% Non-U.S. Equity
  • 5% TIPS
  • 9% Real Estate

Structure

The Investment Fund is structured to resemble a closed-end mutual fund.

  • There is a minimum purchase requirement of US$1,000.
  • Transfers from the IEEE NextGen program are also available.
  • Funds must remain on deposit for a minimum of six months, but subsequently may be withdrawn. Please provide adequate notice.
  • Proceeds may be received by check via U.S. Mail or by wire transfer, at the Treasurer's request.

The IEEE has established an Investment Committee of top investment professionals and consultants who meet with and oversee the performance of the managers. The duties and responsibilities of the Investment Committee, as outlined in its Charter, are to advise the IEEE Executive Committee on all investment-related matters, determine the strategic asset allocation of the Fund, develop appropriate investment guidelines and objectives, and to select the appropriate investment managers. The Investment Committee meets two times per year, at which time it reviews reports from the Investment Managers, as well as IEEE's independent performance measurement consultant.
