To use RightsLink, locate the content you wish to reuse in IEEE Xplore®. Then click on the copyright symbol found on the abstract page or the Table of Contents page associated with that content.

Requesting permission through IEEE

Permission to reuse IEEE content, including use in a thesis or dissertation, must be obtained through the Copyright Clearance Center's RightsLink service, using IEEE Xplore.

3. If you find there are none of these links, this is an indication that IEEE is likely not the intellectual property rightsholder and cannot grant permission for reuse. To find out more information about the copyright for the publication, you should send mail to for verification of the rightsholder.
