The IEEE Client Services Team provides IEEE Xplore® digital library training and promotional materials. The team works with institutions and individuals who subscribe to IEEE Xplore digital library subscription products to raise awareness of IEEE at their locations as well as increase usage.

Oregon and international locations

Rachel Berrington focuses her efforts on IEEE customers located in western North America, as well as those based internationally.

Prior to joining IEEE, she was Corporate Librarian for Mentor Graphics. Rachel was President of the Oregon Chapter of the Special Libraries Association for 2002–2003, and is also a member of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE).

Ruth works with customers throughout eastern North America.

Ruth came to IEEE from Lucent Technologies - Bell Labs, where she was an information specialist and electronic content coordinator. Ruth is a Past President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA). In 2009, she was elected to the SLA Board of Directors as Chapter Cabinet Chair-Elect for a period of three years.

George Plosker works with IEEE customers in the southwestern United States and international locations. A veteran of the content industry, he has held senior positions with 365 Media, infoUSA, Inc., and DIALOG, as well as Thomson Gale, where he managed the search assistance and content support team. San Jose State University’s School of Library and Information Science named George one of its "40 most influential alumni who have had a profound impact in both the public and private sectors." More recently, the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) recognized him with their Quarter Century Club & Lifetime Achievement Award as "a strong voice on behalf of the information profession."

Jalyn Kelley works with IEEE customers located in the southern and central United States.

Prior to joining IEEE, Jalyn was an Assistant Branch Manager at the San Antonio Public Library, Research Analyst at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), and News Researcher at the San Antonio Express-News. Jalyn was the 2008 President of the Texas Chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA).

Kristen develops unique programs with students, librarians, and faculty at 18 schools in the US, China, and India.

Kristen joined IEEE from Rutgers University, USA, where she worked as an information literacy instructor and at numerous reference desks. She serves on the board of the Omicron Chapter of Beta Phi Mu, the international library and information studies honor society and is a member of SLA and ASEE. She was recipient of the 2011 Joyce E. Farrell IEEE Staff Award.

Qing Li serves clients in China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Currently a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, USA, Qing earned BS and MS degrees from the School of Information Management at Peking University, P. R. China. She has presented papers at many prestigious academic conferences worldwide, such as ICIS, CSCW, and AOM, and has published in several core academic journals, including the Journal of the Library Science in China and Information Theory and Practice.

Dhanu works with customers throughout India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He manages the University Partnership Program in India.

Before joining IEEE, Dhanu was Deputy Customer Relations Manager in the Scientific and Scholarly Research (SSR) Division of Thomson Reuters. Previously, he was Assistant Librarian at PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore, and Content Analyst with the Content Management Development Center of Accenture. He has also served on the Editorial Committee of the Asian Chapter of the Special Libraries Association.  Dhanu has a master's degree in Library and Information Science and a bachelor's degree in Engineering; he is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Mysore.

Michael Shapiro, MA, MLIS

In this newly created role, Michael will be responsible for providing support to IEEE's digital library customers and managing IEEE University Partnerships in Latin America.

Michael has over 20 years' experience in the publishing and library industry, including founding Libros Sin Fronteras, a Spanish book, audio, and video distributor, which he sold to Baker & Taylor in 2004. He comes to IEEE from OCLC, where he served as Partner Development Manager for and consulting librarian providing reference services to customers in both English and Spanish. He also has served on the Executive Committee and the Board of REFORMA, the National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and Spanish speakers. A native of Madison, WI, Michael earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, USA, and has master's degrees in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico, USA, and Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin, USA.

Eszter Lukács works with IEEE customers located in the following countries in Europe: Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Turkey.

She has nine years' experience in the information industry and has joined IEEE from EBSCO, where she worked as an account manager for Hungarian customers. Eszter gained her Magister degree in Linguistics from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin; she speaks German, English, and Hungarian and is based in Berlin, Germany.

Hazman works with IEEE customers in the following countries: Afghanistan, Australia, Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Egypt, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.

Most recently, Hazman was with Swets Information Services, as a Solution Expert (APAC), with expertise in eProducts such as Mendeley, Press Display, various eBooks publishers and scholarly journals. He holds a degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he contributed to building the university’s digital and physical learning spaces, including the revamp of the digital library. While there, Hazman was elected to the Library Association of Singapore’s council, leading the initiatives for the IT Committee. Currently, he is reading his PhD (Library & Information Science) at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Hazman is active among the library community in Singapore and Malaysia, promoting digital advocacy in scholarly communities.

Paul works with IEEE customers in the following countries: Algeria, Belgium, Botswana, Denmark, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Kenya, Luxembourg, Namibia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia, and the United Kingdom.

Paul came to IEEE from the US Patent and Trademark Office, where he was a Patent Searcher in the Business Methods division. Previously, he was a Research Librarian at the United States Postal Service Headquarters. He holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from George Mason University and a master's degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College.
