Sleeping room rate

IEEE has arranged a special room rate of US$225, for single or double occupancy, at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, for people attending Sections Congress 2011.
NOTE: Rates do not include 15.5% taxes, plus US$0.25 per room per night.
To guarantee the negotiated IEEE rate, all room reservations must be made by Tuesday, 26 July 2011, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.  After this time, please call the hotel directly to make a reservation.

Registration rate


  • US$525 (US$575 after 22 July)
  • Registration fee covers all meals (breakfasts, lunches, dinners) associated with SC2011 events (except Sunday evening).  Includes Honors Ceremony.  


  • Adults - US$350 (US$400 after 22 July)
  • Children ages 7 to 17 - US$150 (US$200 after 22 July)
  • No fee for children 6 and under.
    • Registration fee covers breakfasts (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) and evening event on Friday as well as Honors Ceremony.  Registration fee for partners and children does not include lunches.
    • The fee for partners/children is not mandatory, but individuals may not participate in Sections Congress 2011 events if this fee is not paid.
    Special Event: a visit to the Computer History Museum
    • On Sunday evening, attendees will have a chance to visit the Computer History Museum, see the new 25,000 square foot interactive multimedia exhibit, "Revolution: The First 2000 Years of Computing," and enjoy a reception. 
    • There is an additional fee (US$10 per member, $5 per additional person), which includes transportation, the exhibit, and the reception.
    • Participants can sign up for this event when completing their SC2011 registration.
