Scholarship details

Managed by the IEEE Foundation and administered by IEEE Educational Activities, the scholarship includes:

  • US$10,000 payable over four years of undergraduate university study
  • Complimentary IEEE Student membership

A second-place award in the amount of US$600 and a third-place award in the amount of US$400 are also presented. 

The IEEE Foundation established the IEEE Presidents' Scholarship Fund to accept contributions used to support the award. Contributions made to the IEEE Presidents' Scholarship will provide the financial resources students need to pursue engineering degree programs.

Award presentation

The scholarship, second-place and third-place awards are presented annually during the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Special Awards Ceremony. A team, comprised of IEEE members and volunteers, reviews all projects in IEEE fields of interest and selects the winners. 

Eligibility

Students must be finalists at the Regeneron ISEF event to be eligible for the award.
