The Summer Topical Meeting Series is sponsored and managed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Lasers and Electro-Optics Society (LEOS). IEEE is the largest technical, professional association in the world with over 340,000 members worldwide. The LEOS Society is a leading society in the specialized field of lasers and other electro-optical devices and their systems applications with over 8,000 members worldwide.

The Summer Topical Meeting Series serves as an international forum to facilitate information exchange between various technical communities using or affected by rapidly growing areas of technology or “hot topics” related to the lasers and electro-optics field.
