IEEE Fellow nominee contributions are classified into the following five categories:
- Educator
- Research Engineer/Scientist
- Standards Contributor
- Technology Innovator
- Technical Leader
IEEE Fellow Contribution Categories Matrix
Nominators may include up to two categories for individual contributions by the Nominee. For information about what could be defined for each category and documenting supporting evidence of extent and impact, please see the Contribution Categories Matrix
The Contribution Categories Matrix is available to nominators for use in their completion of nomination forms, and to Society/Council evaluators and Fellow Committee judges for use in nomination evaluations. Comments and suggestions regarding the usefulness of this matrix and possible improvements are welcome and may be sent to fellows@ieee.org.
Fellow Portal - Electronic Fellow Nomination System
The IEEE Fellow Portal is an online submittal system that was developed to make it more convenient for nominators, references, and endorsers from around the world to recommend worthy IEEE Senior or IEEE Life Senior Members for elevation to IEEE Fellow grade. All Fellow nominations must be completed through the Fellow Portal.
