1. Ultrasonics Standing Committee meeting and Plenary Speaker The Ultracom Meeting (VP Ultrasonics Stanislav Emelianov) was held on Saturday July 20, 2013, 6-9 PM, Room 220, Prague Conference Center, and the AdCom meeting (President UFFC Jackie Hines) on Sunday, July 21st. No copies of the minutes are available.
The plenary presentation of the opening session was given by Dr. Peter Burns, University of Toronto, Canada. The presentation, entitled “Cancer and the Acoustic Bubble”, traced the history of ultrasound contrast imaging and underlined emerging areas advancing the acoustic bubble into the domain of therapeutic activation.
