Computer & Robot Vision, IEEE Robotics and Automation Technical Committee on

The RAS TC on Computer & Robot Vision aims to bring together researchers with common interests in computer and robot vision. We provide a platform for the exchange of ideas related to the use of vision and create a forum for discussing issues surrounding robot perception. Improving robot perception is crucial for enhancing robots’ autonomy and their ability to perform more complex tasks. The scope of the committee extends to different perceptual capabilities, including both geometric and semantic understanding, and their integration. Moreover, it encompasses the use of different types of cameras (including RGB-D and omnidirectional cameras, as well as novel vision sensors), and related sensors (including range and inertial sensors). The mission of the committee is to promote groundbreaking research and events in this scope by supporting dissemination, evaluation, benchmarking, and applications to novel domains.
